This function allows you to directly save selected data from the current file into a new file. The filename must end with the ".wav" extension. If you do not specify an extension or a different extension, the program automatically adds the ".wav" extension. To duplicate the entire sound into a new file, use the Save As function instead.
This function allows you to directly insert a file into the current file. The data is inserted at the selected position in the current file, and the end of the file is shifted. The file must be in WAV format.
This function allows you to directly mix (overlay sounds) a file into the current file. The data is added at the selected position in the current file; if the source sound is too long to fit in the destination file, the excess part of the sound is not added. The file must be in WAV format.
This function enlarges the file by inserting silence at the selected position. The duration of silence can be expressed in time (minutes:seconds:milliseconds) or in samples.
This function inverts the selected data from the current file. The last selected value becomes the first, the second-to-last becomes the second, and so on, as if the sound were played "backwards".
This function duplicates one or more times the selected data from the current file. You can define the number of loops to perform. The file duration after modification is automatically displayed.
These functions respectively speed up and slow down the playback speed of the sound. They apply to the selected data from the current file. You can define the acceleration or deceleration rate with the knob or by directly entering the value in the "Rate" field. An acceleration of 100% doubles the speed. A slowdown of 100% halves the speed.
This function automatically detects blanks (silences) in a file. It is particularly useful for quickly dividing tracks contained in a file into several smaller files.
At the end of the search, the window displays the list of detected tracks. You can use the "Play" button to listen to the different tracks and check that the splitting has been done correctly. If the splitting is not satisfactory, you have the option to modify the boundaries of a track by selecting the relevant track in the list and then clicking the "Edit" button. You can also merge two tracks by selecting the two tracks concerned and then clicking the "Merge" button.
If the program does not correctly detect blanks, you can adjust the sensitivity of the search using the "Options" button. After modifying the settings, restart the track search by clicking "Restart Search".
To change the name of a track, select it, then click on it again or use the "Edit" button. Once the list of tracks is properly defined, you can proceed to create the files. Define a backup directory by clicking the "Browse" button, then click the "Create Files" button.
This function determines the exact position of the beginning of a rhythmic solfège measure in the file. It is particularly useful for precisely synchronizing one sound with another (for example, if the sound to be mixed should start from the 2nd or 3rd measure). You must, of course, know the tempo and signature of the original piece to use this function.
